Intervenția a fost radicală. Lucrând într-o construcție veche, echipa Design First a gestionat etape complexe care nu se văd în poze, dar se simt în confortul beneficiarilor.

Renovation Challenges in a Historic Building

The intervention was radical. Working in an old construction, the Design First team managed complex stages that are not visible in photos but are felt in the comfort of the beneficiaries:

- Complete rehabilitation: Total replacement of worn electrical and sanitary installations. - Structural and aesthetic corrections: Straightening walls and ceilings specific to historic buildings, preparing the "canvas" for the new design. - Layout optimization: Reorganizing the space (often inefficiently compartmentalized in old buildings) to create modern flows and open areas.

Interior Design: The Contrast Between Historic and Contemporary

Taking advantage of the old architecture's assets (such as ceiling height), we implemented a minimalist design with industrial accents and precious textures.

- Light and Space: We used light color palettes and strategic mirrors to amplify natural light, counteracting the shaded areas specific to the old center. - Custom Furniture: Integration of custom furniture was essential to visually correct imperfections in old walls and to maximize vertical storage space.

The Result: A Private Retreat in the Urban Heart

For the owners, this apartment means coming home to a sanctuary that contrasts beautifully with the bustle of the streets below. For the Design First team, it is proof that renovating in a historic area can coexist harmoniously with contemporary design, respecting the essence of the place while offering modern comfort.
